Karacabey doesn't reward planning: step out to the plain and it's fields, meadows, waterbirds; stay in the center and you watch history drift by from outside the neighborhood coffeehouse. Evening doesn't drop fast here, it settles in slowly. You can disappear under the beech trees out by the floodplain forest, or knock back a couple teas downtown and know everyone by name. Still can't decide? Leave it to chance — roll the dice and go wherever the plain blows you.
